Electrical Engineer (80–100%)

Your Role
You’ll join our technical team and take independent responsibility for integrating inverter technologies into our energy storage systems—from design and parameterization to commissioning. You’ll develop technical solutions for complex customer projects. At the same time, you’ll serve as the technical liaison to our software development team: you’ll advise the team on the gateway platform, define requirements based on real-world experience, and validate new features on the actual system. Your work is varied, technically challenging, and has a direct impact: you’ll be driving the energy transition forward.Your Responsibilities
Inverter Integration: Design, parameterization, and commissioning of hybrid and
battery inverters in conjunction with our sodium-ion storage systems (AC and
DC coupling, grid-connected systems).Technical Solution Concepts: Development of solution approaches for complex projects —
Grid connection, protection and safety concepts, compliance with standards (NIN, plant regulations,
NA protection).Protocol Integration: Connecting internal components and external EMS systems via Modbus
RTU/TCP, MQTT, and other common protocols.Software Development Interface: Consulting and assistance with the further development of the
gateway platform—incorporating requirements from the field, clarifying driver and protocol issues
, and testing new releases on the lab system.Designing, conducting, and automating tests: test benches in the lab, measurements on cells,
modules, and complete systems—often executed and evaluated using scripts (Bash,
Python).On-site Debugging and Second-Level Support: Handling escalations from Support —
Analyzing and reproducing problems and developing solutions, including on-site visits to
customers when necessary.Schematic and BOM Verification: Verify schematics, reconcile BOMs against schematics,
identify and correct inconsistencies.Documentation: Record technical concepts, test reports, and commissioning logs in such a way th

What You Bring to the Table
Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, mechatronics, or embedded
systems—Bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences or university, certified technician (HF), or equivalent continuing education based
on a vocational apprenticeship (e.g., automation technician, electronics technician, or electrical installer EFZ)A solid understanding of power electronics, ideally with hands-on experience with
inverters, battery systems, or photovoltaicsExperience with communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP; MQTT is a plus
Proficiency in Linux (configuration, shell, package management) and at least one
scripting language—Bash and/or PythonBe able to reliably read, review, and verify the accuracy of circuit diagrams and bills of materials
Hands-on practice with measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, current clamps, data loggers)
Knowledge of the NIN and initial exposure to grid connection topics (plant regulations,
grid connection protection) is a plusAn independent, structured approach to work; an analytical approach to troubleshooting; and a passion for bridging the gap between hardware and software
Business-level German, good English (data sheets, technical communication);
Category B Driver's License for Field Operations
